Maximise Ibadah
In this fast-paced world, our to-do lists are never ending, juggling between roles leaves us with little or no time for IBADAH. Mundane tasks take over our lives leaving us wishing to have more time to worship our Creator Allah (SWT)
Guess what?
We can turn these mundane tasks into acts that would please Allah (SWT)…
Think of a task that you dislike, but it has to be done! For me its Laundry…
Now let’s look at it as a way of Ibadah. Firstly, start by setting the intention right to do it for the sake of Allah as He loves cleanliness and order. Now, look at that basket of overflowing laundry, take a moment to thank ALLAH for providing us clothes. As we wash, dry, and put away the laundry make dua.” oh Allah cleanse my heart and sins the same way I clean this laundry” reflect and make Dua for the less fortunate.
And TA DA! That’s not only laundry done but also Ibadah done!
Isn’t that amazing? Our work, cooking, cleaning and never-ending list of chores can be a form of pleasing and praising our Rabb!
What is the chore you dislike the most?
Share below and let us know how you turn it into Ibadah!
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
My mundane task is decluttering the Garden Shed
I generally listen to Ustad Nouman Ali Khan’s podcast whilst completing the task
